DasvandhFund Seeks an MBA Intern / Management Consultant
Description
We're looking for a smart, dedicated and passionate intern or consultant to commit 6-8 weeks over the course of the summer (timeframe is flexible) to assist us in setting up a community-based social venture fund. The role will involve setting up the fund from a legal, operational and administrative standpoint.
Activities
- Connect with other non-profits who are structured in a similar way to learn best practices (e.g., United Way)
- Register the organization (legal assistance has already been arranged)
- Detail the relationship with our financial auditors
- Build relationships with Sikh non-profit organizations in the U.S. to make them aware of the Dasvandh Fund
- Construct the member organization application form and ongoing oversight process
- Establish a marketing program to publicize the Dasvandh fund to the Sikh Community
- Specify the layout and functionality of the website for our existing technical team to complete
Qualifications
- Passion and drive to imagine, build, solve and execute ambitious entrepreneurial ventures within short time frames
- Excellent problem solving skills and "get-it-done" attitude
- Strong executive presence and relationship building skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
What about compensation?
Given the wide range of talent applying, compensation will be discussed with individual applicants. For interns, your compensation will be in the form of an academic scholarship (amount based on experience), as well as academic credit (if applicable).
